Hi, I'm Dan Waterman, a life coach and line dance instructor based in Dorset.
My work is built around one simple idea: helping people feel more confident in themselves.
I was born and raised on a farm here in Maiden Newton, so country life has always been a big part of who I am. That love of open spaces, music, people and community has stayed with me throughout my life and naturally led me towards both coaching and line dancing.
I've also always had a huge love for America, especially Nashville, Tennessee. I've travelled there many times, soaking up the music, the dancing and the culture that first inspired so much of what I now teach. Over the years, I've been lucky enough to meet well known country music artists, as well as people involved in the line dance and music industry, which has only deepened my passion for bringing that energy back home to Dorset.
Travel has played a big part in shaping me too, including time spent in New Zealand, where I gained new experiences, perspective and a real appreciation for stepping outside your comfort zone.
Through coaching, I support people who feel stuck, unsure of their direction or ready for a fresh start. Through line dancing, I create fun, welcoming spaces where people can move, laugh, learn and connect with others.
Whether I'm coaching someone one to one, teaching a private line dance lesson, or leading a room full of absolute beginners, the aim is always the same: to help people take a step forward, build confidence and realise they are capable of more than they think.
